Welcome to Moving Ons’ website, we hope it can be a valuable resource in providing up to date news on our service and projects, as well as information for potential or current clients, volunteers, funders and committee members.
Moving On is a Shetland based charity with over a decades experience in offering support to people with health problems, disabilities, mental health problems or any other barrier, to gain and maintain employment. As well as providing news and information on our project, our website also contains information and pictures from some of our past projects, documents that you can download and complete if you would like to refer yourself as a client or a volunteer, links to other important organisations and if you wish to make a donation to us via PayPal, there is also a donation button on the left which you can use.
If you are an individual on benefits or represent a school, organisation, community hall or local group and are interested in having Moving Ons’ job crew complete some work for you, please get in contact with us by clicking here. Some of the types of work we have completed include painting, gardening, croft work, clearing beaches of rubbish, cutting grass, strimming, DIY, cleaning, rabbit proofing fences, erection of a greenhouse and creating a recipe book, tips book and a calendar. We’ll consider most tasks, are able to call in people with experience in areas we are less sure of and only charge a very small and reasonable rate. We’ll also travel to just about any area in Shetland and are able to transport materials and equipment in our custom built minibus.
