Project Co-ordinator – Kellie Naulls
Kellie came to Moving On in 2006 following a career in the NHS. Her background is in Community Nursing and Occupational Health. Kellie is the project co-ordinator at Moving On and works hard with the committee at ensuring the project constantly evolves to meet the demands of its’ clients and funders.
Administration Assistant – Julie Manson
Julie joined the team in November 2006 as Administration Assistant. She works closely with both Kellie & John in assisting with accounts, administration and payroll.
Accountant – John Henderson
John has over 20 years experience in accounting and financial management working initially for a national accounting practice based in Lerwick and then as a Finance Manger with NHS Shetland before having to give up work in 2004 due to illness. John became a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians in 1990 and then became a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1999 following completion of his exams in 1999. John has been working part-time with Moving On since 2007 and is responsible for our financial and management accounts, providing financial advice to our Management Board, preparing our business plans and external funding bids.
Core Support Worker – Lynsey Williamson
Lynsey joined Moving On at the start of November 2010. Previously she worked with Adult Learning helping people with numeracy and literacy needs as well as helping with the Evening Class Programme and teaching English one-to-one for speakers of other languages (ESOL ). She has a joint honours degree in Sociology with History of Art and recently completed her Certificate in English Language Teaching for Adults (CELTA)
Mental Health Support Worker – Louise Mouat
Louise joined the Moving on team in November 2008. Prior to this she worked for over seven years in childcare. During this time she worked in pre-school, after school club and also in youth work, which involved supporting young teenagers who were experiencing difficulties at home or in school. Louise also joined the committee for the mental health charity, Mind Your Head in 2007. The charity was set up to reduce the stigma of mental health issues and promote mental well-being.
Job Crew Team – Rory Binns, Judith Leask, Emily Tait
Rory joined Moving On in April 2007 after several years working with adults with learning and physical disabilities in the Independent Living Project, a local project supporting adults with learning and physical disabilities to live independently in their own accommodation. During that time he gained an SVQ3 in Working with Adults with Learning Disabilities and he has recently completed a year- long certificate in Person Centred Counselling through Shetland College.
Judith joined Moving On in April 2010 as a job crew Support Worker. Judith previously lived in Aberdeen where she studied at Aberdeen University and gained an Ma in Sociology. Following this she worked in Criminal Justice social work. On moving to Shetland 6 years ago Judith has worked in the education system as an ASN Auxiliary and looks forward to the new challenges her position at Moving On offers.
Emily has recently joined the Moving On team on a 6 month contract to work with the job crews. She completed an honours degree in Health and Sports Science and worked as a physiotherapist after completing an MSc Physiotherapy degree at Robert Gordon’s. She then gained a placement in mental health as a physiotherapist and recently finished a post in Condition Management through the NHS where she worked with people on Incapacity Benefits/Employment and Support Allowance.
Transition Support Worker – Beth Robertson
Beth joined Moving On in January 2010 to cover a maternity post. In September Beth was recruited as the Transition Support Worker. Over the years Beth has gained a great deal of experience working with people with a range of additional support needs through both paid employment and volunteering. She has recently completed a BA Child and Youth Studies Degree through the University of the Highlands and Islands.
